Washington Irving's creepy tale follows the exploits of timid but ambitious Ichabod Crane, new in town and seeking the hand of a wealthy landowner's daughter. His plan to propose marriage however is not unique in the town and a series of increasingly mysterious occurrences begin to unsettle our jumpy hero, culminating in a blood-curdling encounter with the terrifying Headless Horseman. The inspiration behind Tim Burton's 1999 film Sleepy Hollow and a new TV series, this classic ghost story is presented here in its entirety, in the shape of the ghostly, cranially challenged rider.
